Biotique - Bio Aloe Vera 30+ SPF Sunscreen

Hi Friends, Being a skin care and makeup junkie, sometimes I do feel to change the regular product from my collection, to reconsider a new product wither skin care or makeup, as how its suiting my skin and if at all that product claims what it says.

I have been using the AromaMagic Sun screen Aloe Vera Gel for more than 2 years now and so thought of rediscovering another Aloe Vera sunscreen and make out if that suits my sensitive dry skin or not. I usually prefer herbal and natural products which has less chemical effects and so usually stick on to brands which have natural ingredients and less harsh to my skin. Usually I have noticed previously that chemical based skin products lose their effect once you stop using them.

I usually don’t have much tan on my face but few pigmentation here and there. I bought this Biotique  Bio Aloe Vera 30+ SPF Suncreen Ultra Soothing Face Lotion for Normal to oily skin and am being using it for almost 20 days now.

My Experience

Packaging

It comes in a plastic bottle with a screw cap.The bottle has a self made incision and so its easy to control the amount you need to apply and is user friendly.

The Positives:

The product claims to be nutrient-rich lotion is blended with pure aloe vera, sandalwood extract, sunflower and safflower oils to keep skin soft and moisturized in the sun. Protects skin with broad spectrum SPF 30 UVA/UVB sunscreen.

One reason of buying this product was , its SPF 30+ UVA and UVB. Usually in tropical countries like India, SPF 30 or 30+ is ideal for summers. My first impression was its not as thick cream base as I thought it to be. This is good. It is little watery light lotion as you apply and just one coat is enough for a 3-4 hours exposure to sun.

I would suggest not rubbing too hard or massage it vigorously on face as then it peels out a little. I think this peeling is something very common with all Aloe Vera based sunscreen products if its massaged like a cream.

You just need to apply it with light fingers so that it cover all the high and low part of the face, neck and ears evenly. This product sits on the face very evenly. It takes a minute or two to dry out.

                 

                   

The lotion has not given me any skin blemishes or eruptions or patches till now. Which is a big thing for a skin like mine which is hyper sensitive to products and suffers blemishes by just one use !! I am quite happy with the result till now.

The Negatives:

Couple of things which I somehow didn’t like

1)    The product has a strong herbal fragrance, which somehow i didn’t like much initially. But then the fragrance fades away after sometime. So it was bearable for me. I personally don’t like too strong fragrance in any skin product I am using. Biotique could have easily made this product with light and subdued fragrance.

2)    The lotion is little sticky on the face after it dries out. Which is one big negative. The product claims for normal to oily skin, but if it’s for oily skin, then it should dry out completely. But since it has Safflower extract and Cream Base Q.S., probably that’s one of the reason for it being little sticky. But once you go out and exposed to sun, it doesn’t feel that sticky on dry skin like mine.
